Moving from Sustainability to Full Transparency

Global GreenTag International will be kicking off a new partnership this month in the US with Oliver Kinross the global 'Build' brand expo and conference organizer. GreenTag has become Oliver Kinross's Global Sustainability Partner – a wonderful opportunity for the GreenTag International team to help guide and curate sustainability content and educational opportunities with the Hong Kong based organization – at their popular Build events around the world – starting with Chicago Build from September 19-20.

Launching the new role as a Global Sustainability Partner with Oliver Kinross, Global GreenTag Americas CEO – Daniel A. Huard – is presenting and leading a panel discussion for Chicago Build on September 19 called Moving from Sustainability to Full Transparency - moderating a panel of guest green product manufacturers who will be sharing their stories.

The following day, September 20, Daniel will serve as Chairperson for Chicago Build's Sustainability Summit. He will also be delivering a presentation titled: Striking the Balance Using Materials Transparency (to achieve Sustainability, Wellness, Healthiness and Resiliency).

Daniel is one of the most accomplished sustainability practitioners, experts and advocates in the US green industry today and "has taken to the new partnership with gusto," says Brett Hazlett, CEO Global GreenTag Australia and New Zealand. Brett, who will be joining Daniel at Chicago Build, was responsible for setting up the new partnership with Oliver Kinross MD APAC James Mckenzie in April this year.
Daniel has been working closely and enthusiastically with the Oliver Kinross lead team to bring his expertise for not only Chicago Build but for New York Build in 2020," says Brett.

Global GreenTag International has been single expo partners with Oliver Kinross since Auckland Build in 2016 and Sydney Build in 2017, says Brett, "and both myself and David Baggs (GreenTag International's CEO and Program Director) have always admired the support of Oliver Kinross, in their vision, their execution of events and their openness to creatively platform sustainability content and supporting GreenTag product certification."

Daniel as CEO of Global GreenTag Americas, concurs. "This is an exciting new venture and I am very much looking forward to serving as Chairperson for the Sustainability Summit in Chicago. The speakers are all high value." Daniel's own presentation for the Summit, he says, will be "an informative, engaging education session and critical for green building practitioners and facility managers interested in better understanding opportunities to leverage positive material selection choices; informing building design, operations and maintenance to achieve Sustainability, Wellness, Healthiness and Resiliency."

Seen as a significant player in the sustainability space as both a doer and a disruptor, globally, Daniel holds more than a dozen professional designations, including being a global LEED Fellow, a Green Globes' Assessor and an appointed member of the International WELL™ Building Institute's WELL Faculty. He says:

"My belief is that we can create a better world than the one we inherited where places that we work and live in contribute to society's improvement and our collective Living Standard. Using Material Transparency as a tool to accomplish our aspirations, we can drive positive and innovative advances in buildings. Inhabitants and even communities should also see positives from materials choices made and incorporated into our buildings."
